I'm Kayla Burney, a writer, researcher, and digital media specialist. Storytelling is my passion, and words and content are my mediums. Using my expertise in creative writing, visual storytelling, and community outreach, I bring the whimsy back to digital marketing and content creation.

I've overseen communications and led marketing efforts for nonprofits, public figures, theatre productions, and companies across New York State, managing content across various social media platforms and content management systems. I collaborate with artists, activists, and community leaders to build cohesive campaigns with messaging and visuals that engage audiences and create brand awareness. 

 

I also happen to be a creative who's been told many times that despite my talents I'm "not a good fit". I came into my own creatively when I  started to question why I would ever want to fit in or be anyone but me. Why would anyone? Authenticity is the spice that makes content compelling!

 

I started CMM to help creatives like me grow confident in their voices and what makes them unique. There is a market for you, and I'd love to help you find it.
